+

What’s the best way to prepare my child for their appointment?
+
Communication is key to helping your child prepare for a visit. Explain that going to the dentist is important for health and that the dentist will help them keep their smile safe. You can also help your child imagine their visit by playing pretend or reading books and watching videos about visiting the dentist. It may help your child to bring a favorite stuffed animal or another toy to hold during their visit. Your attitude will set the tone for your child, so try to be positive.
What can I expect during my child’s first visit?
+
Similar to your own visits, your child’s visit will include a checkup and cleaning, and may also include x-rays or other treatments. The dentist will take the time to explain what will happen during the visit and allow you to ask questions. Afterward, a member of our staff will help you understand your next steps for care.
What is the average cost for a visit?
+
Costs vary based on insurance coverage and treatment. To get a better idea of your out-of-pocket costs, contact our office.
Will I be allowed to stay with my child during his or her appointment?

If you prefer to stay with your child during their visit, you may. Most parents remain in the room, although occasionally it’s less distracting for parents to wait in the lobby. If you’re unsure what you prefer, talk to our staff.
